Get it? Because they’re gifs, but close to gifts. . . Never mind.
Anywho, the Chasing Shadows Twitter Release Party yesterday went so quickly (I barely kept up with my replies!) that I didn’t get to use all the fun and emotional gifs that I had planned. So I figured I’d share them with you and tell you what sort of question I was anticipating to use them for. And you can check out my replies and answers on my Twitter page @TownsendTales. Enjoy!
How do you prep for an afternoon of writing:
I get myself psyched for “Author Mode”
Do you regret killing off any of your characters in “Chasing Shadows”?
Short answer: No. They had it coming or it served a purpose.
Although there IS one character that I want to be in Book III that is, at the present time, deceased in some fashion. I can fix that!
Explain your reaction when your fictional couple gets together:
What about when your favorite character dies?
Thanks for bringing up that difficult memory.
What are your feelings towards people who don’t enjoy reading:
Favorite snacking and brain food for inspiration when writing?
Coffee and chocolate.
Have you ever tried sushi for brain food? People say it’s–
No. -_- I’ve tried it and, well:
Explain your reaction each time you finish writing a story:
So I discovered “Chasing Shadows” online at Barnes and Noble and received the coolest review on Facebook! All in all, a pretty good day. ^_^
This made me so happy–to know that someone was so riveted by the book that they not only blew through it in a day, but that they’re more in love with the series than before and have a renewed passion for Will Taylor. Get in line! *wink wink* I also found out afterwards that she read the Kindle copy first and then immediately went out and bought the paperback through B&N to read, too! Haha. I love fellow fangirls! And though I get author copies, I may or may not have purchased a couple via B&N, as well. I also expedited the shipping. *sheepish grin* I couldn’t wait! So my reaction to this awesome review and also the explosion of joy that was getting to buy my own paperback copy went something like this:
Yeah, feeling pretty good this weekend.
Buy your OWN copy of “Chasing Shadows” in ebook or paperback–or both!–from B&N and Amazon
IMPORTANT: We’re doing a Twitter Release Party via @doubled_books on October 18th, 2014 for “Chasing Shadows.” It’ll be a Q&A about the book, being an author, and all sorts of hilarious goof-ups. Be sure to follow them and me @TownsendTales to look out for updates and use #ChasingShadowsBook when Tweeting.
Also, the weeklong Blog Tour with http://doubledeckerbooks.blogspot.com/ is from October 15th to the 21st. There will be tons of goodness going on for days on this blog and many others during the tour. Be sure to follow them for updates and even join the tour by becoming a blogger. We might have a stop on your blog where you host me! I pasted the signup sheet below for you bloggers who are interested in letting us make a stop near you!
“Chasing Shadows” is literally off to the presses as we speak. Dying. Of. Feels. That means that in the next couple of weeks, you can have your very own copy of my second book online and IN STORE!!!!!!
The illustrator is working on the final updates for the cover, and then we’re dumping some extras inside, like the amazing map he did of Serimone country, and tons more for you all. This is my “ta-da” face:
Over the next month, keep an eye out on here and my other social networking sites (be sure to follow them on the right if you don’t already!), because I’ll be doing tons of promotional work for the release of the book–blog-hopping, interviews, reviews, a Facebook Release party with games and prizes to support readers and authors, a blog tour with http://doubledeckerbooks.blogspot.com/, and so much more! I’ll also be doing a very dramatic final cover reveal, leaking the map of Serimone, adding character profiles, and doing character interviews on my site and others very soon. But you don’t want that, do you?
Whoah, okay, never mind. I’ll do it, I’ll do it! Sheesh.
Oh, yeah. Notice anything. . . different about me? Yep, that’s right. Total new makeover on my blog and just about everywhere else! I figured that with the new addition of “Chasing Shadows” and all of the changes/additions/impact that this sequel will be making to the series as a whole, I figured some updates were in order all around.
My sentiments exactly, Tom. Thank you, darling. You can share your sentiments, as well, in the comment section.
I changed my usernames on both Pinterest and Twitter to TownsendTales because it sounds so much more author-y. So don’t panic if you see some new crazy person doing all sorts of nonsensical things that are something of nonsense; it’s still just me. 😉
Love you all and be sure to follow and share and spread the word about this story. And, as always, keep coming back!
