Soooooo, I have amazing family. My cousin Lisa and the cuuutest baby girl in the world (I had coffee this morning), little Scarlett, came over the other day for “Ladies Time.” Basically, it’s a time every Wednesday when Lisa, my sisters, and I get together and relive our youth by watching ancient episodes of Smallville and chatting nonstop in the name of ceremony. But this Wednesday, Lisa decided to sacrifice her afternoon and whip up this little bad boy with me hovering over her shoulder, oohing and aahing for a half hour. Officially, coolest Rising Shadows fan poster yet. Make sure to add it to your summer reading list, and don’t be surprised to find it plastered all over San Diego.

I believe we’ve previously established that I have awesome friends: They have supported be through this entire writing endeavor and have even gone so far as to film a Rising Shadows book trailer (coming soon!). And then my friend Bethany, who is a fantastic photographer, saw a photo on my Pinterest that I was gushing about., and it inspired her to do an author photo shoot at Mission Trails. I told you I have amazing friends. ^__^ I had the best time hanging out and goofing off with her, and the park was incredible. Here are just a few of the results of a fun Saturday evening!
